Winston Hind

Hailing from Toronto, Winston Hind arrived in Victoria in 2017 to begin his career with the The Naden Band of the Royal Canadian Navy, after having served with the Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces in Ottawa for four years. Winston holds Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in music from Wilfrid Laurier University, and the University of New Mexico where he served as assistant instructor of tuba and euphonium.

Winston has appeared as a soloist with the Guelph Symphony Orchestra and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra; performing the Canadian premiere of Arild Plau’s Concerto for Tuba and Strings. As a freelancer Winston has worked with Orchestre symphonique de gatineau, Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, New Mexico Philharmonic and the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.
