Date and Time
The event will be on Saturday, March 17, 2018. The full day event starts at 9 am. The composers discussion panel starts at 7 pm. The featured artists evening concert starts at 8 pm.
The first ever Toronto Tuba Euphonium Symposium (TOTES), a full-day conference filled with performances, masterclasses, and a composers’ panel, will be led by emerging Canadian tuba and euphonium professionals. The current arts landscape demands that we take the initiative and create our own spotlight. TOTES will provide an outlet for our generation of professionals to collaborate and lead the low brass field, champion new Canadian music, and engage music lovers across Canada!
Everyone is invited to participate in the warm-up class and masterclasses, regardless of their musical level. TOTES will bring artists from across the country, giving us the opportunity to share experiences and best practices with each other from diverse perspectives. There will also be exhibition space for networking among the performers, vendors, local businesses, and attendees. You will have the opportunity to try out instruments and mouthpieces from today’s competitive music brands!
